The MAC Valves MI\/O 67 Fieldbus<\/strong> is a cleverly designed fieldbus module that takes MAC’s well-known pneumatic valve technology toward Industry 4.0.
\nBy integrating existing MAConnect\u00ae solenoid bases with a protocol module (EtherNet\/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, PowerLink, I\/O Link or Modbus\/TCP), both control logic and power are controlled via one standardized connection. This creates a compact and clear system with minimal cabling and maximum modularity.
\nBelow are some of the general features of the platform.<\/p>\n

MI\/O\u201067\u00ae Communications Module<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Communications Module is the brains of the MI\/O\u201067\u00ae platform and is the minimum required module to implement a fieldbus solution.\u00a0 There are 6 protocols available:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. EtherNet\/IP\u00ae<\/li>\n
  2. EtherCAT\u00ae<\/li>\n
  3. POWERLINK\u00ae<\/li>\n
  4. PROFINET\u00ae<\/li>\n
  5. Modbus\/TCP\u00ae<\/li>\n
  6. I\/O Link<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each Communication Module is capable of driving up to 32 solenoids (32 singles, 16 doubles max or any combination of the two up to 32 solenoids) on the MAConnect\u00ae stack.\u00a0 The module has a capability of outputting 8 A max (0.5 A max per channel) to the MAConnect\u00ae stack.
    \nYou can connect up to 12 additional add\u2010on modules to each Communication Module and have 8A shared across those additional modules.
    \nAll of the MI\/O\u201067\u00ae modules operate on a 24VDC negative common setup.\u00a0 The node is attached to the MAConnect\u00ae stack via a valve series specific adapter.
    \nThe Communications Modules is available in both a 7\/8\u201d 4\u2010pin mini and 7\/8\u201d 5\u2010pin mini power configuration and incorporates two Ethernet M12 ports for pass through communication to other network devices.\u00a0 The valve power is brought in on different pins than the electronics power, for isolation purposes, and both have the capability to handle up to 8A.<\/p>\n

    Available Add-on modules:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • MI\/O\u201067\u00ae Digital I\/O Module \u2013 configurable as 16 outputs, 16 inputs or 8 inputs and 8 outputs.<\/li>\n
    • MI\/O\u201067\u00ae Analog I\/O Module – either current (4\u201020 mA) or voltage (0\u201010 VDC)<\/li>\n
    • MI\/O\u201067\u00ae PowerPlus\u2122 Module – \u00a0additional 12 output points at 0.5A per channel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      MI\/O\u201067\u00aeMAConnect\u00ae Series<\/strong><\/p>\n

      There are three different MAConnect\u00ae series adapters available which are :<\/p>\n
