Series 3580 Diaphragm Process Valve

The Spartan Scientific Series 3580 is a composite 2-way, 2-position solenoid/air-operated valve built to control liquid media and inert gas. It features a large 1/2″ orifice and comes standard with three NPT port sizes: 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″.

The normally open 3580 uses a unique operator that eliminates the need for a bypass tube (unlike the 3510). It also includes both a push, non-locking manual override and a turn-to-lock override. The normally closed version does not offer a manual override.

Its compact composite body uses advanced materials to reduce size and weight while maintaining durability. The low-wattage, power-saving solenoid pilot includes stainless steel internal components and a miniaturized design for tight installations.

Standard elastomer options include FKM, NBR, and EPDM. Fully encapsulated coils are available in standard voltages with spade terminals, flying leads, or an attached connector.

Common applications include inert fluid and gas control, condensate drainage, hot water plumbing, and sprinkler systems.

Advantages

  • Dust-tight and water-resistant (IP65/NEMA 4) for demanding environments.
  • Wide range of elastomers for compatibility with various media.
  • Simple mounting with self-tapping screws.
  • Suitable for air, water, and inert liquids.
  • NSF-approved materials for safe applications.
  • Flexible connection options for various installations.
