Series APVS08 2-way valve with separate media

The Spartan Scientific Series APVS08 is an air-operated 2-way valve with separate media. It is a diaphragm valve designed for controlling liquid chemicals.

The valve is available in single-acting, fail-closed, normally closed, normally open, or double-acting configurations. Its design saves space and helps reduce buildup. The body is made of CPVC. The diaphragm is available in FKM, NBR, EPDM, or PTFE. This allows for use with various chemicals. The orifice is 16 mm and has a Cv flow coefficient of 4.70.

The valve operates from vacuum to 8.3 bar media pressure and is tested according to ANSI FCI 70-2 Class VI. Control is possible via a Spartan Scientific 3-way solenoid pilot valve, with an option for manual operation and an illuminated connector.

The normally closed model features a position indicator. A magnetic piston enables end-of-stroke detection.

Advantages

  • Compact design with small footprint and low dead volume.
  • Suitable for high purity, aggressive, and corrosive liquids.
  • High flow capacity (4.70 Cv) for better performance.
  • Tested to ANSI FCI 70-2 Class VI standard for reliability.
  • Optical position indicator for normally closed version.
