7C Serie – High Current Proximity Sensor

The Canfield 7C Series proximity sensors are designed for detecting piston position on pneumatic cylinders with a magnetic piston and bore from 2″ to 8″. These sensors combine a design with a wide range of switching functions making them deployable in virtually any industrial environment.

The 7C Series uses universal self-adjusting clamps for mounting on NFPA pull-rod cylinders from 2″ to 6″ (style 0) or 6″ to 8″ (style 9). They come with ½″ conduit output or automotive connector (3- or 5-pole), depending on the application and regulations.

The series includes a large selection of circuitry: from simple NO/NC reed contacts to SPDT, TRIAC outputs for AC load and electronic PNP or NPN outputs. Models are available with MOV surge protection, red LED indication and a switching range from 5 to 240 V AC/DC with a maximum current up to 4 A and inrush up to 50 A. This versatility makes the 7C series suitable for automation, mobile hydraulics and other demanding applications.
