Pronal attaches great importance to environmental protection and has therefore developed an emergency stop for pipes, the OPAP, an inflatable pipe stop. We can also call this stop an anti-pollution stop. It is used for diameters smaller than 1000 mm. For larger diameters, please refer to the OFR range of emergency stops for pipes.
In the event of a disaster, this inflatable pipe shut-off valve can quickly stop any accidental pollution.
This system complies with the risk prevention measures described in Article 13 of the Decree of 5/08/2002. With regard to the prevention of disasters in companies, this article obliges institutions to equip their wastewater and rainwater collection networks with closure systems to prevent unwanted pollution.
Once installed, the OPAP is connected via a flexible hose to a control box near the manhole. It can be activated manually in the box, or automatically using an electric remote control or a GSM remote control. Thanks to this control box, we can inflate and deflate the pipe plug remotely. This system prevents the operator from having to descend into the pipe.
