5JR Series – Rectified, Lighted, Suppressed

The Canfield 5JR is a fully molded right angle solenoid valve connector designed for AC voltage connections where reliability and protection are paramount. This version includes an internal bridge cell rectifier that converts AC to DC, which prevents the familiar “buzzing” with AC voltage and greatly reduces the risk of coil burnout. In addition, the integrated MOV protection provides voltage suppression during inductive spikes, thus extending the life of coils and valves.

The built-in LED clearly indicates whether the system is energized. The connector is made of durable yet flexible polyurethane and features a strain relief. The compact 90° design makes the 5JR very suitable for use in tight spaces. The integrated gasket ensures an IP67 / NEMA 6 seal and makes it impossible to lose the seal.

The 5JR is available in both ISO and MINI connectors and in various wire configurations, voltage ranges and cable lengths. With its low voltage drop of only 2.2 V and maximum peak current of 15 A, it is ideally suited for demanding applications in automation and mechanical engineering.
