9D Series – magnetic proximity switch

The Canfield 9D Series is a universal, ultra-compact proximity switch for magnetic piston position recognition on linear actuators. The switch fits into standard 1/4″ dovetail slots, integrating seamlessly with popular cylinder systems. Multiple adapter clamps are available for other sizes, including for 12 mm, 14 mm, round cylinders, NFPA or flat series tie-rod cylinders from 3/4″ to 8″ bore.

The 9D is available in reed or electronic versions (PNP or NPN) and comes with 9 ft of PVC cable, an 8 mm quick connect male pigtail or a 12 mm pigtail for dual switch. The LED indicator on the switch is visible at a wide viewing angle, ideal for quick diagnosis and installation. The electronic versions offer improved sensitivity (25 Gauss), less hysteresis and a smaller dead zone.

This switch is made of high-quality plastic, IP67-sealed and resistant to vibration and shock. With a voltage range of 5 to 120 V AC/DC (reed) or 5-28 V DC (electronic) and a current capacity of up to 0.25 A, the 9D series can be used in a wide range of industrial applications.
