9C Serie – round groove proximity sensor

The Canfield 9C Series is a universal proximity sensor designed for linear actuators with aluminum profiles and magnetic pistons as used by SMC, Bimba, Fabco and other brands. This sensor mounts directly into a standard 4 mm slot and is secured with the integrated mounting screw.

Available in reed or electronic versions, the sensor detects the position of the cylinder piston via a magnetic field. The LED indicator on the sensor is visible from wide angles and simplifies installation and diagnosis.

The sensor operates on both AC and DC and switches up to 0.5 A at voltages of 5-120 V AC/DC (reed) or 5-28 V DC (electronic, PNP/NPN). The housing is made of high-performance polymers and designed to meet IP67 / NEMA 6, ensuring protection against moisture, dust and vibration in industrial environments.
